How to prevent leakage of olive oil can?
Apr 04, 2025
Selection of corrosion-resistant materials: When building olive oil can, materials with good corrosion resistance, such as stainless steel or fiberglass, should be selected to improve the corrosion resistance of the oil tank.
Strict welding process: Strengthen the quality control of the welding process to ensure that the welding process is reasonable, the welding rod is properly selected, and the post-welding treatment is in place to avoid welding defects.
Set up an impermeable layer: Set up an impermeable layer at the bottom and around the oil tank, such as laying an impermeable membrane, setting up an impermeable pool, etc., to prevent oil leakage from polluting the soil and groundwater.
Double-layer tank design: Promote the use of double-layer oil tank structure, and set up a monitoring space between the inner and outer tanks. Once leakage occurs, it can be discovered and handled in time.
2. Daily maintenance and inspection
Regular inspection and maintenance: Regularly conduct appearance inspection, thickness measurement and non-destructive testing of the oil tank to promptly discover and deal with potential leakage hazards. At the same time, strengthen the daily maintenance of the oil tank to extend the service life of the oil tank.
Anti-corrosion treatment: According to the material and use environment of the oil tank, formulate a suitable anti-corrosion maintenance plan, including coating repair, cathodic protection and other measures to extend the service life of the oil tank.
Liquid level monitoring: Regularly monitor the liquid level of the oil tank, and take timely measures in case of abnormal conditions.
3. Emergency response and handling
Establish an emergency response mechanism: formulate a detailed emergency plan, clarify the emergency handling process and responsible persons, and ensure that leakage accidents can be handled quickly and effectively.
Leakage monitoring system: Set up a leakage monitoring system in the impermeable tank pool to monitor the status of the impermeable layer in real time to ensure that potential leakage problems are discovered and handled in time.
Emergency isolation and evacuation: Once an oil tank leak is found, the emergency plan should be immediately activated to quickly isolate the leakage area to prevent further spread of oil products, and evacuate surrounding personnel to ensure personnel safety.
4. Other measures
Intelligent monitoring system: Install an intelligent monitoring system in the oil tank area to monitor the operating status of the oil tank and changes in the surrounding environment in real time through sensors, cameras and other equipment. Once an abnormal situation is found, an alarm will be immediately issued and relevant personnel will be notified to handle it.
Regular cleaning: Clean the inside of the oil tank regularly to remove oil stains, impurities, etc., keep the inside of the oil tank clean and prevent accelerated corrosion.
