Metal Paint Cans

Metal cans are considered the industry standard for any oil-based paint and industrial applications. Most of these cans are made up of tin-coated steel. The metals have durability and also prevent evaporation and contamination of the solvent inside. The demerits of this type of metal include the fact that it is heavier and can get rusted when not stored in the right manner.

Plastic Paint Cans

Plastic containers are lightweight, rust-resistant, making them suitable for water-based paints such as latex. Other advantages of plastics are that they dent less often;however, they do not offer the same protection against solvent evaporation as metal cans.

Hybrid and Specialty Cans

The biomedical and hybrid concepts are combined together to leverage the advantages of each material. Specialized cans are manufactured for special cases; aerosol spray paints would thereby need a pressurized container with specific valves and nozzles.

Material of Round Paint Cans
 

Steel

The main body of round paint tin cans is commonly made from steel. Steel provides strength and durability, making it suitable for holding paint, which can be heavy and corrosive.

Tinplate

The steel used in paint cans is often coated with a layer of tin (hence the term "tin can"). Tin provides several benefits, including corrosion resistance, which is important for preserving the paint and preventing rust from forming on the interior of the can.

Plastic

While the main body of the can is typically steel or tinplate, some paint cans may incorporate plastic components, such as the lid or lid liner. Plastic is used in the lid liner to create a secure and airtight seal when the can is closed, helping to keep the paint fresh and preventing leaks.

Paper Labels

Paint cans often have paper labels on the exterior for branding and labeling purposes. These labels are usually affixed to the can's surface and can be customized with product information, logos, and safety instructions.

Opening and Closing Cans

To open a paint can, the lid should be carefully pried, using a flat-head screwdriver to avoid any warping. To close, free the lid from traces of paint, put it back on top of the can and evenly tap it down with a rubber mallet or hammer, using a cloth in between to prevent damage.

Mixing Paint

For all types of paint, mixing is done to achieve uniformity. For aerosol cans,if the can has a mixing ball inside, shake the aerosol for at least 1 minute. However, longer duration may be better to ensure the contents are properly blended.

Store cans in a cool, dry location, shielded from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. Avoid damp areas, ensuring that metal cans do not rust.

Seal the caps tightly to prevent air exposure, which can cause skin formation or cause it to dry and harden.

Labels on cans must include the purchase date, the color, and room or project where the paint was used.

Positioning

You can often throw away dry paint with your ordinary household trash cans. To dry paint that is excess, leave it in a ventilated space with the lid of or add absorbent materials such as cat litter.

These should be clasified as hazardous waste and brought to your local hazardous waste disposal facility. Leftover paint should never be poured down the drain or on the ground.

 
 
 

Aerosol Cans

You have to empty aerosol cans before throwing them away. Do not discard partialy ull cans into the trash; they must go to a hazardous waste facity because of their contents being pressurized inside.

Q: How long is the lead time?

A: Usually it takes around 15-20 days after sample confirmed and deposit received. If you need the goods urgently, please tell us, and we can will try our best to give you priority.

Q: How can I get a sample from you?

A: If we have stock for the models you need, we can send you our stock sample no sample cost. But if you need your own design, sampling cost will be charged. And for both ways, the courier freight needs to be covered by you. And samples can be sent through Fedex, UPS, TNT, DHL, ect

Q: If I need my own size?

A: We need to make new moulds for your own size, and this will cause tooling cost but it can be refunded after order qty reach what we required So normally we would suggest you can use our similar mould size existed.

Q: How can I pay you?

A: For mass production goods, you need to pay 30% deposit before production and 70% balance upon shipment
The most common way to pay us is by T/T. LC,DP,DA is also acceptable.

Q: How the goods are delivered to me?

A: For small quantity, we advise to deliver by courier, like Fedex, UPS, DHL, ect.
For big quantity, we advise to ship by sea. We can send goods to your assigned Shipping Forwarder (FOB price). Or if you don't have one, we can quote you CIF price.
