I. Types of corrosive media that can be safely stored:
1. Most inorganic acids: including hydrochloric acid (corrosion resistant at boiling point; ordinary enamel can withstand hydrochloric acid with a concentration below 30% and a temperature below 130℃), nitric acid (corrosion resistant at boiling point), sulfuric acid of normal concentration (corrosion resistant at 120℃; 98% concentration can withstand high temperatures up to 200℃), phosphoric acid with a concentration below 25% (corrosion resistant at 150℃), etc.

2. Organic acids: formic acid (corrosion resistant at boiling point with a concentration of 25%), acetic acid (corrosion resistant at 110℃), aniline (corrosion resistant at boiling point with a concentration of 30%), and other common organic acid media.

3. Organic solvents: most common organic solvents, such as benzene, can be stored stably at their boiling point without significant corrosion risk.

4. Weakly Alkaline Media: Weakly alkaline solutions with a pH value below 12 at room temperature can be stored stably for a short period under operating conditions not exceeding 100℃.

II. Specific Prohibited Media for Storage

1. Hydrofluoric acid and all media containing fluoride ions will directly and rapidly corrode the enamel layer and are absolutely prohibited.

2. Hot concentrated phosphoric acid with a concentration above 30% and a temperature above 180℃ will have a strong corrosive effect on the enamel layer.

3. Sulfuric acid with a concentration of 10%–30% and a temperature above 200℃ exceeds the conventional sulfuric acid resistance threshold and will accelerate the wear of the enamel layer.

4. Strong alkaline solutions with a pH ≥ 12 and a temperature above 100℃ will rapidly destroy the silica-based enamel layer structure.

III. Storage and Usage Precautions

1. The storage medium temperature must be controlled within the range of 0–150℃ to avoid sudden temperature changes exceeding the critical value for rapid temperature change resistance, preventing cracking and failure of the enamel layer.

2. If the medium contains alkaline components, the corrosion rate must be measured in advance to confirm that it meets the superior quality standards for glass-lined equipment before use.

3. During storage, the condition of the glass-lined layer must be inspected regularly to prevent hard objects from impacting the tank, causing damage to the porcelain layer and leading to media leakage and corrosion of the steel frame.
