I. Initial Screening Based on Appearance and Material

1. Check Product Parameter Labels: Legitimate corrosion-resistant glue cans will directly indicate the type of corrosive media they are compatible with and the inner lining material (e.g., butyl rubber, vinyl ester resin). Ordinary cans without such labeling generally have weaker corrosion resistance.

2. Identify Can Structure: Specialized corrosion-resistant cans such as rubber-lined cans and fiberglass glue cans will clearly indicate the layered structure of the outer carbon steel/fiberglass layer and the inner corrosion-resistant layer. Ordinary single-layer metal/plastic cans are not considered professional corrosion-resistant.

II. Simple and Quick Practical Tests

1. Drop Test: Place one drop of your commonly used strong acid or alkali glue solvent on a concealed location on the outside of the can, away from the glue. After 30 minutes, wipe and observe. If there is no dissolution, discoloration, or stickiness on the can surface, the basic corrosion resistance is qualified.

2. Small-volume immersion verification: Take a small amount of the corrosive adhesive to be stored, place it in a sample container, seal it, and let it stand for 24 hours. After pouring it out, observe the inner wall of the container. If there is no swelling, peeling, or discoloration, and the adhesive itself does not show any abnormal deterioration, the compatibility can be quickly confirmed.

3. Tapping and listening verification: For anti-corrosion rubber-lined tanks, gently tap the tank wall with a small hammer. A uniform, solid sound indicates that the lining is tightly bonded without voids, and the anti-corrosion performance of this type of qualified rubber lining is stable. If a hollow sound is heard, the lining is likely defective, and the anti-corrosion ability is substandard.

III. Key performance verification

1. Spark leak detection test: If possible, use a low-voltage spark detector to scan the inner wall of the tank. No penetration spark points indicate that the anti-corrosion layer is intact without pinholes or cracks, and the anti-corrosion sealing performance is qualified.

2. Verify industry standards: Qualified anti-corrosion adhesive tanks must meet the quality requirements of a flat rubber lining without curling edges and a fiberglass layer without bubbles or delamination, and comply with the general acceptance specifications for corresponding chemical anti-corrosion storage tanks.
