What temperature should be controlled when storing Tin Pail?

Aug 04, 2025

1. General Tin Pail: It is usually recommended to store Tin Pail in an environment with a temperature range of **5℃ to 30℃**. This temperature range can effectively prevent Tin Pail from deformation and seal damage due to excessively high or low temperature, and can also protect the quality of the items in the bucket.
2. Special bucket for solder paste: If Tin Pail is used to store solder paste, its storage temperature requirements are more stringent. Lead-free solder paste (such as SAC305, SAC0307) needs to be stored in a refrigerator or constant temperature cabinet at 2~10℃. Some models of low-temperature solder paste (such as SnBi series) need to be stored at -5~5℃, which is subject to the supplier's instructions.
Precautions
1. Avoid extreme temperatures: Do not expose the tin barrel to a high temperature environment exceeding 30℃, which may cause volatile substances such as paint to evaporate faster and even cause safety problems. At the same time, avoid a freezing environment below 0℃, which may freeze the substances in the barrel and affect its performance.
2. Temperature fluctuation: Minimize temperature fluctuations as much as possible. Frequent temperature changes may cause the barrel and seals to expand and contract, thereby destroying the seal.
3. Reheating treatment: If the tin barrel is taken out of a low-temperature environment, it should be allowed to naturally return to 20°-25°C (68°-77°F) at room temperature, which usually takes 4 to 6 hours. Do not heat it directly.
