How to use baking soda to clean olive oil can
Oct 28, 2024
1. Prepare materials: baking soda, warm water, clean rag or brush.
2. Prepare baking soda solution: Pour an appropriate amount of baking soda into warm water and stir well to make a baking soda solution. Generally speaking, 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda can be added to every 500 ml of water.
3. Soak the oil can: Put the olive oil can in the baking soda solution and make sure that the oil can is completely covered by the solution. The soaking time depends on the stubbornness of the oil stains, generally 15-30 minutes. For stubborn stains, the soaking time can be appropriately extended.
4. Clean the oil can: After soaking, gently wipe the inside of the oil can with a clean rag or brush to remove the oil and stains. If the stains are difficult to remove, you can soak it again or use a brush to scrub it vigorously.
5. Rinse the oil can: Rinse the oil can thoroughly with clean water to ensure that the baking soda solution and stains are rinsed clean. The oil can can be turned upside down to allow the water flow to fully rinse the inside.
6. Dry the oil tank: Dry the cleaned oil tank and make sure the inside is completely dry to avoid bacteria or odor. You can place the oil tank in a well-ventilated place to dry, or wipe it dry with a clean towel.
