How to Prevent Overpressure in Paint Cans?

Dec 17, 2025

Pressure Gauge Inspection

1. Mandatory Verification Pressure Gauges (Class A): When used in critical equipment such as boilers and pressure vessels, the calibration cycle should be ≤6 months.

2. Non-Mandatory Verification Pressure Gauges: Class B (process control type) cycle ≤12 months; Class C (monitoring type) cycle is 1-2 maintenance cycles.

3. Household Pressure Water Tanks: It is recommended to check them every 3 months, as water hammer can easily cause gauge needle misalignment.

Safety Valve Inspection

1. Keep clean to prevent grease buildup;

2. Check the seal for integrity to prevent unauthorized adjustments;

3. Establish a regular discharge system based on the actual equipment conditions (e.g., manually discharge the safety valve of a steam boiler once a day).

Rupture Disc Device Inspection

1. Check if the installation direction is correct and if the nameplate parameters meet operating requirements;

2. Check for damage, corrosion, or deformation on the outer surface;

3. When used in series with a safety valve, check for leaks in the pressure indicator;

4. Check if the discharge pipe is unobstructed and the support is secure.

Comprehensive Explosion Protection Measures

1. Mechanical Explosion Protection: Such as industrial flame arresters and active/passive explosion-proof devices, used to prevent the spread of flames in the initial stage of an explosion.

2. Chemical Explosion Suppression: Suppressing the range of an explosion by spraying explosion suppressants; suitable for equipment where explosion vents cannot be installed.
