Keep away from fire sources (such as stoves and radiators), and keep a safe distance of at least 50cm to prevent the heat conduction of the can body from causing the surrounding combustibles to burn.
Light and moisture-proof
Ultraviolet rays will accelerate the brittleness and fading of wax, so it needs to be stored in a cool and dark place (such as a cabinet); a humid environment may cause the can body to rust (especially tinplate/aluminum alloy), affecting the sealing, and it is recommended to use a moisture-proof agent.
2. Key points of operating specifications
Filling and extinguishing safety
The wax liquid temperature needs to be cooled to **60~70℃** before pouring into the can to avoid high temperature causing the can body to deform or the coating to release harmful substances; the filling volume is ≤80% of the volume, leaving space for expansion.
When extinguishing the candle, use a candle extinguisher or lid to isolate oxygen. Do not blow with your mouth (sparks may splash out). Make sure the flame is completely extinguished before leaving.
Wick management
Trim the wick to 0.3~0.5cm before each use. If it is too long, it is easy to produce black smoke and cause the flame to be too high (>5cm), increasing the risk of overheating of the can mouth; avoid burning multiple wicks at the same time (such as non-designed models) to prevent local temperature from rising suddenly.
3. Maintenance and risk investigation
Regular inspection
Check the can body every week for deformation, rust, and wax leakage. If the bottom is bulging or the weld is cracked, stop using it immediately to avoid wax splashing and causing fire.
Check whether the outer printing or sticker is carbonized or falling off, and remove flammable debris in time.
Child and pet protection
Store it in a high place where children/pets cannot reach it to avoid accidental touch and overturning; choose a tin can with a threaded lid or snap design to reduce the risk of accidental opening.
Long-term storage recommendations
If not used for a long time, empty the residual wax and wipe the inner wall dry to prevent the wax from changing taste or corrosion of the can; stack the height ≤ 3 layers to avoid deformation caused by heavy pressure.
